Do you know how many countries contain 70% of wildlife in the world ?!
Much research is being issued on the environmental collapse of the planet every day. A new study has shown that only five countries around the world are unique to 70 percent of virgin wildlife.
Research conducted at the University of Queensland in Australia, in collaboration with the Wildlife Conservation Society, stressed that serious steps must be taken to protect these areas.
The researchers, who published the results of their study in the latest issue of the scientific journal 'Nature', presented a map of the world showing the countries that contain these areas that are free of industrial activity.
The British newspaper, The Guardian, said that experts working in the field of nature conservation are calling on governments to take serious measures to preserve the ecosystems on the surface of the planet.
The research indicated that the five countries that enjoy the largest share of virgin wildlife, that is, those that have not been affected by human action, are the United States, Australia, Brazil, Russia and Canada.
With the exception of the research, the wildlife on the continent of Antarctica and in seas that are not considered within the territorial waters of States.
After reaching the results, the researchers claimed that the rest of the wildlife on the surface of the planet could not be protected without a clear 'global policy'.
The researchers called for setting a global goal to conserve 100 percent of the remaining ecosystems, and the head of the research, James Watson, said, 'All countries have to do is prevent industry from entering these areas.'
