Three out of every four Medjool dates eaten worldwide grew on trees in the Israeli desert. Here are some facts about the most useful Israeli dates in the world

When Israeli families want to reach the southernmost city in Israel, Eilat, by car rather than by plane, they will usually travel via the desert streets of the south, Al Araba Street. In the scorching desert of this street, green palm trees can be seen from far and wide, which look like desert oases.

Date palm plantations have been in existence since the late 1960s and have improved in the last decade, with the expansion of the farms to hundreds of acres of Medjoul date farms - the most luxurious and best-selling date variety in the world.
