Microsoft has announced the introduction of new features to Outlook for phones to make its software more practical and intuitive to use, according to RT.
According to Microsoft, Outlook mail for iOS phones has got features that help the user use voice commands to control many of his email, and soon these features will reach Android devices as well.
One of the most prominent features mentioned is the possibility of adopting voice commands to search in Outlook mail without the need to use keywords, as the user can, for example, direct a voice request to search and say: “Find emails sent to John with attachments about the first quarter project budget.”
Another important feature is the ability to use speech to respond to messages in e-mail, as Outlook will convert sounds into written words that will be sent in response to incoming messages.
Outlook in phones also got features based on artificial intelligence to help the user schedule work messages and send these messages to specific people and at specific times, and this technology depends on the Cortana voice assistant developed by Microsoft.
