2- Italian-style peeling:

Polenta is a delicious recipe from northern Italy made with corn flour. It can be eaten roasted in the oven and topped with olive sauce and Parmesan cheese.

It can also be transformed into a wonderful exfoliant. It is gentler on the skin than coarse salt, and more effective than almond powder for body care. It can be used alone, with the addition of a little shower gel, but the following recipe allows you to benefit from the refreshing effect of rosemary and juniper.

the components:
A tablespoon of polenta
A teaspoon of vegetable olive oil
One drop of rosemary essential oil

One drop of juniper essential oil

How to prepare:

Mix the ingredients and leave them for a few minutes until they swell. Apply the mixture to damp, clean skin, using circular movements and focusing on areas where the skin is thick (knee, elbow...). To increase the effectiveness of the mixture, a Turkish bath glove can be used at the same time. Rinse your body well and apply moisturizing cream on it.

Note: Polenta can be replaced with fine wheat semolina.

3- Lavender bath:

It does not take long to prepare this bath, so it can be prepared to relax during a busy day, or to refresh at night. With this bath, problems and annoyances disappear, and drowsiness creeps into your eyes. Lavender calms the nerves and restores balance, while milk and sweet almond oil make you feel relaxed.

the components:
Half a liter of soy milk
10ml of vegetable sweet almond oil

How to prepare:

Mix the milk, vegetable and essential oils. Pour the mixture under the water tap. Prepare a bathrobe, light a candle, and dim the light. Then relax a little in the water before going to sleep.

Note: Soy milk can be replaced with any vegetable milk.

4- Fruit and vegetable masks:

After returning from the market, save some fruits and vegetables to make these quick masks that exfoliate, soften and moisturize the skin thanks to their natural acidity.

the components:
Seasonal fruits and vegetables, fully ripe depending on skin type

For all skin types: apricot, cucumber, carrot, peach
For dry skin: avocado, blackberries
For sensitive skin: lettuce, cantaloupe, red berries
For oily skin: red cherries, strawberries, peaches, rhubarb

Supplementary ingredients: yogurt, cream, oat powder, vegetable oil...

How to prepare:

Mix and mash fruits and vegetables. Add one of the supplements until the mixture holds together, then apply it to the skin after cleansing it for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the excess using your fingers and clean your skin with sterile rose water.

Note: These masks do not adhere to the face, so it is sometimes necessary to add a supplement. Gauze can be used to make compresses: tightly squeeze fruit or vegetable puree between two pieces of gauze before applying it to the skin.
