6 tablespoons of water
3 tablespoons of ketchup
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons of orange juice
2 tablespoons of vinegar
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
3/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
2 teaspoons cornstarch
450 grams of shrimp
2 teaspoons crushed garlic
2 teaspoons mashed ginger
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 onions, sliced thinly
1 green bell pepper, cut into small pieces
3 sliced pineapple (1 cup of pineapple chunks)
2 green onions, thinly sliced
How to prepare:
The sauce: Mix ketchup, lemon juice, vinegar, soy sauce, 1/4 cup water, sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper. Leave aside.
Starch mixture: In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of water with 2 teaspoons of cornstarch. Leave aside.
Shrimp or shrimp: 1- In a bowl, mix shrimp, garlic, mashed ginger and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper. Soak for at least 20 minutes.
Heat a frying pan and add vegetable oil, move the pan to coat the sides.
Add shrimp, ginger and garlic, stirring until pink, about 3 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the fire.
Then put the onions and green capsicum, stirring until the onions are soft, about two minutes.
Add the sauce and cook until the sugar dissolves.
6- Add corn starch and leave it until it boils.
Return the shrimps to the pan, then add the pineapple and green onions. Leave on the stove until the sauce becomes thick, about one minute.
Pour into a serving dish and garnish with some pieces of green onions.
Serve hot with rice.
