New and exclusive: How to make potato nests with meat and cheese ⚡

Ingredients

For the Mashed Potatoes:

3 large potatoes

5 tablespoons butter

1 bunch chopped fresh dill

Salt and black pepper

A little cream (optional)

For the Meat Filling:

Ground beef

1 chopped onion

1 bell pepper and grated carrot (optional)

Tomato juice or tomato sauce

Salt, black pepper, and dried oregano

Mozzarella or Parmesan cheese for topping

Preparation

For the Potatoes: Boil the potatoes with a little salt until tender. Drain and mash them well while still hot. Add the butter, salt, pepper, and chopped dill. You can add a little cream for a creamier consistency.

For the Filling: In a pan over medium heat, heat a little oil and sauté the ground beef until browned. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened. Add the bell pepper and carrot, if desired. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Add the tomato juice and let the mixture simmer until thickened.

Forming the Nests: Take some mashed potatoes and shape them into balls. Then, make a well in the center to form a "nest," as shown in the picture. Arrange the nests on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Filling and Baking: Fill each nest with a suitable amount of the minced meat filling. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.

Baking: Place the tray in a preheated oven at 180-200°C (350-400°F) for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
